We watched a couple of videos of whales giving birth this morning, starting with this really cool one.
After, Owen asked what happened to the mom. I didn't know what he meant, so he clarified, what happened to her now that she had a big hole in her from the baby coming out.
So I explained the mom always has a hole. He asked if I meant the belly button. So I told him no, that where he has a penis, women have a vagina, a hole that goes in and is ready for if they have a baby to come out. And then I told him that's where he came out.
The LOOK on that kid's face, lol! He has declared this is totally gross.
(P.S. - for the curious, I googled and whale umbilical cords break off in birth, that's why there isn't one in this video)
