Pierced!

A few years ago, when she was 7 or so (maybe younger?) Bridget said she wanted her ears pierced. I told her I wanted her to wait til she was old enough to take care of them herself since at that point, it was a nightly fight getting her to brush her teeth even. I don't have any piercings and while I'm not rabidly oposed to them (like my mom) I am a bit needle phobic and squeamish so I didn't want to have to deal with it myself.

Well, a few months ago, she asked again. At nine, she's a lot more self sufficient than she was back then. She even brushes AND flosses every night with only minimal nagging ;-) So what the heck.

We had planned to just take her to the mall but then I read online how that might not be the best idea. Luckily, a friend sent me a link with info for an ear piercing clinic in our town. It was about twice the price of what the mall would be but when Bridget said she'd be willing to pay half out of her savings, I knew she was serious.

So Robert took her today and she came home with two silver studs in her ears. No drama, no problems. They went out for ice cream afterward and she came home smiling and happy :-)

Here's the pics!

Lucy's running to find the phone to hear all about it! Lemme know about the place as I've been promising Ada to get hers done.
