The car is fine, yay! It was just the battery. We got it started again and the hubbie went out and bought a new one so in the end it was only about $100. Since we thought it was the starter, that was a LOT better.
Bridget is 8 now :) The kid party here was a ton of fun. We invited 4 moms and 11 kids. It was chaotic and fun :) And with 8 came a lot of new stuff. The kids already did the Egyptian excavation kit she got. Here's my favorite shot from that.

We also got her a new knifty knitter. She's already about half way through on her purple chenille hat she's making with it.
Today the kids and I went to an out of town library to see a homeschooler's exhibit of duct tape art. There was an activity along with it where I made a duct tape rose (rather nice if I do say so myself!) but Owen wasn't really into it so we didn't stay the whole time. The exhbit was really cool and he enjoyed that though.
As we're leaving Owen (4) says to me "Ok, let's get going you idiot". LOL! Thank god he said that to me and not his dad! He said it with no attitude whatsoever and I could tell he had no clue what he said. I think he got it from Toy Story (he watched it that morning). I calmly told him that idiot is not a nice thing to say and explained what it meant and that was it. I thought it was really funny though :)
This friday we are going to a homeschooler arts and crafts sale and as of today, we have NOTHING to sell. Ack! Time just gets away from us sometimes. So far Bridget wants to make stuffed animals so we'll see how many she can do (with my help). We'll see what Owen comes up with.
Meanwhile, my step-sister loaned us 4 Girl Genius graphic novels, WHOO HOO! Bridget and I have been following the online comics for awhile but there's just something about holding it in your hand and being able to flip back and re-read parts. I think I'll be buying them for Bridget for Christmas.
