Waffles!

The waffle maker - freecycle. The recipe - cobbled together from online and using flours I had on hand (quinoa, buckwheat, sorghum, rice and tapioca).

The result . . .



Well, ok the first few results ended up in the scrap pile seen here :) Not a bad tasting scrap pile, but still, not a waffle.

The waffle maker didn't have the instructions with it so we had to figure out how to make them. It took three half baked, falling apart waffles before we realized we were opening it too soon.

But then eventually, we got this :-D



I love how imcomplete waffles look. All poky with edges sticking out, sort of like coptic crosses. But now that I know how well this worked out, next time I'll probably make bigger ones.
