We played checkers today. I mean, really played it. For years Owen has enjoyed setting up the checkers board and just randomly jumping over pieces and declaring "I won!".
Honestly, I didn't even know the rules myself and we never seemed to get around to learning them.
This afternoon my mom babysat. I called home at one point and mom said they were about 3/4 of the way through a real checkers game. Rules and all.
So tonight, as part of our date night (this week was Dada/Daughter, Mama/Son) he and I played another game. Yeah, I let him win (so did my mom) but it was fun :D
