The kids had a good day with their Grandparents today. My mom, my dad and my dad's girlfriend took them to NYC to see Pale Male and his mate, Lola. Dad and his girlfriend are into birding and have shown the kids videos of Pale Male before (including a PBS documentary that I'm told my dad managed to appear in as one of Pale Male's fans). They went to Central Park and ran into a few birding friends of theirs who let the kids watch the hawks in their high powered telescopes.

Meanwhile Robert and I went shopping at the mall :) Not as exciting maybe, but trying to find clothing for me with kids in tow is not what I consider fun so I grabbed the opportunity and ran with it. We got home and I just felt really tired and ended up taking a nap in the hammock. With how I was feeling yesterday I'm thinking maybe I might be coming down with something. We have a busy week but absolutely nothing planned for Monday so I'm taking advantage of that and hoping to rest tomorrow.

Still, I thought maybe some racquetball would perk me up and I was right. After the nap and dinner Owen and I went out to the field while Robert and Bridget jumped in the pool. At first my arms felt like lead but as I kept going I felt better and better. I was finally in a nice groove when the boy (who's lucky he's so cute!) told me he was bored. We went home, but took a nice walk around the block first.

Tomorrow - rest. Maybe some cleaning since it's getting out of hand. Tuesday I think we still have a zoo visit (I have to check on that), Wednesday we're going to the beach, Thursday is Bridget's library play perfomance followed by bowling and friday is (gulp) the allergist. Saturday I'll sleep all day :)
