In January the NJ legislature voted on whether to grant basic civil rights to gay citizens. Sadly, the vote came out against the bill, so we're heading to the courts.
Still, check out some cool shots I took from various rallies.
At the state museum after one of the rallies.
Bridget, clapping, and friend Sarah next to her.
I just really like this shot. Bridget is in the middle of the crowd here. The guy with the guitar had been waved up to the front and I snapped at just the right time.
From left, friend Joseph, Owen, and cousin Nate.
New friends, old friends, one cousin, one aunt, many signs.
The view from inside the statehouse. I love this. Looks like an egg.
Before the rally, the kids play around while the adults are waiting in line to get in the state house (because we seriously had so many people rallying with us that we had trouble getting in!).
Owen at the really tall parking garage we finally found a space at. We went to four rallies and for three of them we found parking at a hotel garage, but this day the garage was full up when we got there (that might be the day we had the most people show up!) so we went to this one.

Shannon, I f-in' love these photos!! My favorites are: the kids sitting in a row, Bridget clapping, the egg and the parking garage.
I'm loving the pics too. The parking garage one makes me dizzy! Remember how nerve racking it was looking over the railing inside the state house?
Happy to see some posts from you!
