Enough with the deep for now

Sheesh, I don't post for a month and then I get all deep and everything. Some people.

It's candy week! Bridget is going as a mad scientist. It started steampunk but ended up more Dr. Horrible inspired.

Owen is going to be a short, cute little grim reaper.

I'm just wearing some old garb from our Society for Creative Anachronism days. Ok, it's not even my garb, it's some really nice, fancy stuff someone left behind (and never claimed) at the last event we ran, 12 years ago.

Pictures will . . . might follow. I'm really bad with the camera. As in - remembering to actually use the dang thing.

This is the first year we won't be trick or treating at home but will instead be going to a party and then ToTing in their neighborhood, leaving Robert home to man the door. Last year Bridget went but Owen still stayed home and we walked around as usual. Ah, the end of an era I guess.

We've had a very nice week with a zoo trip with Bridget's book club, many nice walks in the lovely rain, a child-free dinner out for me with a friend and then another child-free dinner out with my mom. It's really nice to be able to talk for two hours without being interrupted, huh?

We'll end off the week with pumpkin picking, hayriding and corn mazing and then the Halloween festivities, followed by eating too much candy. I love this time of year :-D
