I went to the meditation class at the Y last night. Those people take their meditation seriously! It started at 7. I walked in (behind someone else) at about 2 minutes past 7 (by the clock on the wall) and the lights were out, everyone was sitting quietly with eyes shut and the woman was already talking them into their meditation. So I quickly (and quietly) sat down and joined them. I missed most of what she was talking about in the beginning but then she said ok, now just meditate for 20 minutes.
Dude, that was niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. No kids, no tv, no music. The occasional muffled sound of a car and the sound of an aluminum bat from the little league game across the street. The bat was really cool. Very meditative. No concerns or worries or people asking me for help or talking to me for 20 minutes. Sweet.
Today is another laid back day. We need to go get sneakers for Bridget before the weekend. She's going to a horse stable to get the Horse Fan badge with some Girl Scouts. Most of the troop already did this badge so this is a special outing for the new girls who are interested. She can't wear her crocs though and it turns out her sneakers don't fit anymore. Kid insists on growing ;-)
Then we're just hanging around and waiting for Christine to drop off a troublesome laptop so Robert can try and fiddle with it.
But then tonight I get to go to Tai Chi again. Which, I found out, is Tai Chi for Arthritis. Ooops. I don't have arthritis, can I still go? The regular Tai Chi is on Mondays and only once a week and I enjoyed this class the other day so I really have no interest in switching.
Hmmm. Mental note of things I should really take pictures of. The garden is good, the boy lost a tooth, the kids are adorable. Ok, I'll get on it.
