My kids got haircuts. They don't look like themselves anymore. Bridget was still in the seat getting her hair done and Owen asked "Where's Bridget?" and a day later, I still agree with the sentiment. It's incredibly short but she's decided to grow out her bangs so . . . it's just . . . . she doesn't look like her. And Owen. It's short and flat and . . . . Change is bad. Very, very bad.

So I played this really cool video for Bridget last night and we danced around the backroom, attempting to bellydance. I wore a skirt even! (be still my heart!) Then this afternoon I saw her watching it on her computer and asked how she found it. "I just searched for 'chaiyya chaiyya' ". So, should I be impressed that my 8 year old could find a Hindi (I think?) song on youtube, or . . . should I be worried my 8 year old is searching around youtube by herself? Because youtube can be an interesting place. Ahem.

But after we danced to that last night we had to bounce around to Dragostea din tei. This one has been a favorite around here for awhile. Who knew Romanian pop music would be so cool? Or is it just me? :-D It's a very bouncy song. I need a new bra. Yes, those statements are related.

This afternoon Bridget wanted the translations to both songs so we tried to find them. We've googled the translation of Dragostea din tei before but it was awhile back. That one was pretty straightforward but either Hindi doesn't translate to English very well or the song is poetry and not supposed to make sense.

Owen's really enjoying the Star Flyers computer game. I think it's so cool to watch him discover the games his sister used to enjoy :-)

Last night Bridget played a Freddi Fish game and finished it in about 20 minutes. I remember when we first got Freddi the game took us hours. We couldn't figure out how to do this or that. I made a comment to her about that last night and she smiled and said yeah, it's easy now. I like Freddi Fish and the others like that (SpyFox and Pajamma Sam) but yeah, once you've played them 3 or 4 times you're done. I hope they come out with more.

And that was my random babble for the day :-D
